Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit this website or buy The Control Method, why we need it, and the choices you have. It is short because we collect very little.
The short version
- We don’t keep a customer database. Your payment record is held by Razorpay, our payment provider.
- We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- We don’t ask for your name, address, age or anything about your health.
- We never sell your data, and nothing on the checkout or in our emails mentions the topic of the guide.
- We use Google Analytics 4 to measure our ads. They never run on your private download page.
Who we are
This website (manhealthguide.com) is run by [Your registered business name], [Your registered business address] (“we”, “us”). We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us the “data fiduciary” under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can reach us, and our grievance officer, at support@example.com.
What we collect, and where it is kept
When you pay
Payment happens in Razorpay’s secure checkout window. Razorpay asks for your email address, mobile number and payment details. Your card, UPI or net-banking credentials go directly to Razorpay and your bank — we never see or store them.
Razorpay keeps the payment record (payment ID, order ID, amount, date, status, payment method type, and the email and phone number you entered) and shows it to us in our Razorpay dashboard. Razorpay handles this data under its own privacy policy and the Reserve Bank of India’s rules.
When you open or download the guide
There is no account or password. Your private download link contains a signed code tied to your payment ID. Each time you use it — or use our recovery page with your email and payment ID — our server asks Razorpay to confirm the payment is valid and has not been refunded.
We use the email and payment ID from that check to print a small line at the foot of each page of your copy (except the cover): “Licensed to <your email> - <payment ID> - personal use only”. This discourages sharing. Your copy is created at the moment you download it; we don’t keep it.
Emails
We don’t send newsletters or marketing messages. Razorpay may send you its own payment confirmation by email or SMS.
When you contact us
If you email us, we keep your message, your contact details and anything you choose to tell us, so we can help you. Please don’t send health details we don’t need.
Technical logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, date and time, and error messages. We use this only to run the site, keep it secure, stop abuse (for example, limiting repeated attempts on the recovery page) and fix problems. These logs are kept for a short period set by the hosting provider and then deleted. To limit repeated requests, your IP address is also held briefly in server memory; it is never written to storage.
In your browser
The site saves a couple of small items in your browser’s session storage — for example, so a purchase is not counted twice, and so the recovery page can fill in your payment ID if confirming a payment fails. These are not sent to us and are cleared when you close the tab.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find us and whether our ads work. Google set cookies or similar identifiers and receive: the pages you visit on this site, your IP address, browser and device information, and events such as viewing the product page, starting checkout and completing a purchase (with the price and the Razorpay payment ID as a reference).
- We do not send them your name, email address, phone number or any health information, and the event names are neutral.
- These tools do not run on your private download page or on the recovery page.
- Google process this data under their own privacy policies and may use it to show you ads.
How to opt out: block third-party cookies in your browser settings, use private browsing or a content blocker, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Razorpay’s checkout window is provided by Razorpay and may use its own cookies and device information for security and fraud prevention.
What we don’t collect
We don’t ask for your name, postal address, age or date of birth, and we never ask about your health, your sex life or your relationships. There is no account, no questionnaire and no tracking inside the PDF.
Why we use your data
- To take your payment and give you access to the guide you bought.
- To send your download link, help you recover it, and reply to your messages.
- To process refunds and handle complaints.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised sharing of the guide.
- To keep the accounting and tax records the law requires.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising.
We rely on your consent, which you give when you buy from us or contact us, and on uses the law allows without separate consent, such as completing a purchase you asked for and meeting legal obligations. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your rights” below). Withdrawing it doesn’t undo what was already done, and doesn’t remove records we must keep by law.
Discretion
We know that buying a guide on this topic is private, and we treat the fact of your purchase as sensitive. The checkout description reads only “Digital guide (PDF)”, and neither our emails nor the file name (the-control-method.pdf) describe the topic. Your bank or UPI statement shows the merchant name registered with Razorpay. We never sell, rent or trade personal data.
Who we share it with
Only these service providers, and only what each one needs to do its job:
- Razorpay — payment processing, refunds and payment records.
- Our website hosting provider — serves the site and keeps short-lived technical logs.
- Google — website analytics, as described above.
- Authorities and advisers — government bodies, courts or our accountant or lawyer, only when the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
Some of these providers store or process data outside India. They are bound by their own security and privacy commitments, and we will not transfer data to any country the Government of India restricts.
How long we keep it
- Payment and transaction records (payment ID, amount, date, and the email and phone on the payment): held by Razorpay as the law requires, and by us for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require — typically up to 8 years.
- Support messages: for up to 2 years after your last message, so we can help with follow-ups and refunds, then deleted — unless we need them for a legal claim.
- Technical logs: a short period set by our hosting provider, usually days to a few weeks.
- Analytics and advertising data: according to Google’s retention settings.
- Your copy of the guide: we don’t keep one.
How we protect it
- The whole site uses HTTPS encryption.
- Payments are handled by Razorpay, which is certified to the PCI DSS card-security standard.
- We don’t keep a customer database on our servers, so there is very little to lose.
- Download links are signed with a secret key and checked with Razorpay every time they are used. A refunded purchase stops working automatically.
- Access to our payment, email and hosting accounts is restricted and protected with two-factor authentication.
- If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Keep your download link private.
Anyone who has it can download a copy of the guide — with your email printed in it.
Your rights
Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its provisions come into force, you can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- ask us to delete it, where we no longer need it and the law doesn’t require us to keep it;
- withdraw your consent;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to;
- complain to our grievance officer and, if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.
To do any of this, email support@example.com, ideally from the address you used to buy and with your payment ID, so we can find your records. We may ask you to confirm it’s you. We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and respond within 30 days. We can’t delete records that Razorpay holds, but we will tell you how to contact Razorpay about them.
Adults only
This website and the guide are for adults aged 18 or over. We don’t knowingly sell to, or collect data from, anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has bought the guide, contact us and we will refund the purchase and delete any data we hold about it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data — for example, by adding a new service provider — we will update this page and the “Last updated” date first. For significant changes, we will also add a notice on the website.
